Coaching Requirements

All volunteers must complete a CORI background check and an online concussion training course.

CORI

This is a requirement of Massachusetts Youth Soccer and must be completed prior to working with children in our program.  MYS is rolling out a new CORI process this fall.  Anyone who has been CORI cleared within the past three years does not need to do anything right now, but you will need to register with the new system before November (a separate email about this will follow).  If your CORI has expired, you will also receive a follow-up notice about this.  Anyone who is brand new to coaching with ASC must register and complete the CORI background check before September.  Please complete the registration here as soon as possible.

In addition, the identity of all coaches must be verified with the appropriate age group director and we must keep a copy of your driver’s license on file (this will become obsolete beginning Spring 2016, but for now we must comply).  You may take a picture of it with your phone and email it to [email protected].  These files are stored in an off-line encrypted drive.  If you prefer to submit a hard copy, please bring it to the coaches meeting in September.

Concussion Training

This is a mandatory training.  Please complete the training session here, and forward your certificate of completion, which is also valid for three years, to [email protected].[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
