Intellectually all of my players know that they have a position and that they shouldn’t bunch up. But the game last Saturday was with both teams in a giant dog pile. They would start from their position and the ball is just too tempting. After the game, my son said, “Maybe the kids know what they’re supposed to do but don’t believe that there is actually a benefit…maybe you should show them what the benefit is.” That was an interesting point. Unfortunately we won the first game so I guess as soon as we get crushed we’ll have some proof! But what can I do in practice before that?
